The Museum of the Bible is an educational and spiritual that invites our community to learn about the history of the Word of God and its transmission over time.
For decades, the Pr. Dr. René Krüger and his wife Zully Bauer gathered an extraordinary collection of Bibles, manuscripts, facsimiles, photographs, and materials of great historical value, and academic. In 2022, driven by their faith and commitment to the christian formation, donated in full to this collection to the International College of the Assumption, in the hope that here would serve as a tool in mission, teaching and service for future generations. Your generous gesture allowed our School to become a custodian of one of the collections biblical most comprehensive in the region.
The tour includes brackets ancient as papyrus and parchment, a complete facsimile of the scroll of Isaiah, medieval manuscripts, parts of the jewish tradition, copies of the Gutenberg Bible and copies of historical Reform. Also on display are Bibles in indigenous languages, versions for children, editions in braille and academic works used for the study of the bible.
The Museum is open to educational activities and guided tours, with the purpose of strengthening the christian formation, promote the reading of the Bible and to evaluate their impact on the faith, the culture and the history of mankind.
