English Language Immersion

At International School, we teach Spanish and English in a way that is unique woven into secular and Christian values throughout the day.

We seamlessly incorporate learning English Language into subject areas. Our students are immersed in learning language through experience and use English in authentic experiences for communication.

Our children learn to speak English by speaking, reading, writing and living it. The Elementary students follow the Paraguayan curriculum in both languages, English and Spanish. Our students receive English Instructional academic subjects such as Language Arts, Science and Health, Social Studies, Life Skills and the Arts.

The school curriculum blends MEC requirements with the Common Core State Standards of the USA, enriched with Australian Standards for specific areas.

Immersion in the English Language

At the International School, taught Spanish and English in a way that is unique, woven in the age-old values and christians throughout the day.

We incorporate the learning of the English language in the subjects, our students are immersed in learning language through experience and the use of English in authentic experiences for the communication.

Our students learn to speak English, speaking, reading, and writing regularly in the classroom. The curriculum up to the 6.° Grade includes capabilities required by the MEC in both languages, English and Spanish. Our students develop subjects in English such as Language, Science, and Health, Social Studies, Life Skills and the Arts.

The curriculum of subjects taught in English include requirements ministerial national standards of the Common core american standards and australian specific areas.

Computer AREA

Department of Computer Education. DECECI Teaching with ICT. Bilingual Education project with the support of ICT.

The project is carried out through the use of the computer resource as support the development of skills and content from the different areas of the school program in English and Spanish, as well as train and enhance the skills of coexistence related to team work, the care of the materials and the respect of others.

The English and Spanish language classes are prepared by the teachers/teachers in conjunction with the faculty of Educational Computing in the form of:

AREA Physical Education

Specific competencies of the Discipline.
  • Develop activities that will help you to carry out body movements with capacity and efficiency in sports, both individual and collective.

  • Encourage the practice of sports at individual sports such as: athletics, gymnastics, swimming and collective sports like; football, handball, basketball through exercises natural and built.

  • Acquire basic movements of locomotion through educational exercises.

  • Run movements of coordination, balance, flexibility, and agility.

  • Acquire skills in the implementation of exercises in the sports, both individual and collective.

AREA Spanish

Objectives of the Area of Spanish in the 1.er and 2.Th Cycle.

The program of the area of Spanish applied to what is set by the ECM, based on the development of capabilities and skills, promoting meaningful learning of their students in relation to their environment. This is expressed by degree and by cycle.

In this process of teaching and learning is experience, skills, own the disciplines or areas of study, values, skills, and attitudes that lead to the integral formation of our students.

With a socio-constructivist teaching, this pedagogic line is based on active techniques, respecting individual differences, and in close relationship with other actors in this stage of education: students, teachers, managers, parents, family.

For the area of Spanish and guarani, is intended to encourage spontaneous writing, according to the communicative intention, the reading comprehension of different text and encourage reading in their different styles of language, so that children are reading books of foreign and domestic players. To further promote the oral expression, with a spirit of participation and critical.

In the area of mathematics, to achieve the skills of the area, foster logic thinking math for the resolution of problematic situations, with creativity and accuracy.

For the area's Social Life, in the first cycle, and Social Sciences, for the second cycle, seek the knowledge of the history, the environment, the society, the country and its relationship with the world, taking into account aspects of tradition and culture.

In the second cycle, the area of Natural Sciences and Health, through the development of their capabilities, aims to locate the man with his relationship with the environment, care of self and the environment which it operates.

The use of ICT, through computer classes, systematic, areas of study reinforce through the classes of educational computing, making some areas more fun and interesting for the students.

Objectives of the Area
  • Develop English language skills, that allows the students to the achievement of the skills and competencies established for both cycles.
  • To develop the capacities of basic and non-basic Studies Programme of the MEC in English.
  • Develop the institutional capabilities established to strengthen the indicated level official.
  • Follow the socio-constructivist learning of the language in the first and second cycle, following the Program of Studies of the MEC as a basis for determining the capabilities to be developed in the different areas of knowledge. Shop High Capacities

The Workshop of High ability he was born with the purpose to offer to our students of the 1.er and 2.° Cycle of the BSE a space designed especially for them, where they can deepen and enrich the contents of various areas, exploring their interests and natural talents.

This project proposes a playful approach and dynamic, in which you learn, it becomes a motivating experience, creative and meaningful. Through activities designed to challenge their thinking and the awakening of curiosity, we want each child to discover new ways to understand, create, and enjoy the knowledge.
